LaCassie loving life as a Gopher

American-based National Squad member Bronson LaCassie received an Honourable Mention All-American by helping lead the University of Minnesota to a Top-10 finish in the NCAA Championship. The Queenslander has become somewhat of a standout performer for the &aposGophers&apos, earning All-American recognition in four consecutive seasons. The only other players to receive simiar status at Minnesota include Justin Smith (2002/03/04) and Tom Lehman (1979/80/81). As well as helping his team to a Big Ten title and Top-10 NCAA finish, LaCassie also finished equal 22nd across America. He was named in the All-Big Ten first team for the fourth year running and currently holds four of Minnesota&aposs all-time Top-10 stroke averages. The Aussie&aposs season stroke average of 72.71 ranks eighth best in the University&aposs history and his career average, 72.48 is second overall. LaCassie was named All-American alongside his Gopher team mates Niall Turner and Victor Almstrom who were also key components to their university&aposs success this year.
