LAGT – Montgomery Finshes Runner-Up at Binhai Open

ALPG professional Danielle Montgomery has tied for runner-up honours to Korea&aposs Hee Kyung-Seo in the US$300,000 Binhai Open played at Binhai Golf Club in Shanghai, China. Kyung-Seo finished on a 54 hole total of 9-under par total 207, a comfortable five shots in front of Montgomery and China&aposs Yang Taoli.

Montgomery, who was born in England but now resides in Perth, has moved up to third place on the Ladies Asian Golf Tour money list with US$30,828 after collecting US$28,500 for her efforts in China. The first-year professional began the final round just two shots behind the Korean but had a "few bad approach shots" to end up with a round of 2-over par 74. She finished on 4-under par total 212 and afterwards, commenting on her game, she said, "I had a good week and a good feel of the putter. My ball striking was good but my putting was even better. I&aposll be going to the q-school in Japan and the form I had this week will be good enough for me in Japan."
