Having a brand identity and a central electronic information system on a website are important ingredients in the competitive environment in which all businesses operate. Golf NSW is no different in the sporting environment particularly when this relates to two of our premier events NSW Open and Women’s NSW Open. Whilst the NSW Open has had a brand identity and website, a change of venues for the 2011 tournament has brought about a new and refreshed look, requiring significant change also to the website. The Women’s NSW Open has not had a brand or a website which identifies the event in the market, so we have gone about ensuring it has an important presence in the sporting market. The new logo is fast becoming synonymous with the tournament even after only one year. The former NSW Open website, whilst reasonably informative, had significant restrictions in its ability to update and manage the amount of information that had to be input at times on a minute by minute basis as well as the fields that could easily be affected. For the Women’s NSW Open we have had to start from scratch. However, as the result of forming a relationship with innovative web designers, Langoor, all that is about to change. Langoor have linked with Golf NSW through the development of two new websites for both NSW Opens. The principals at Langoor have worked closely with Golf NSW to redesign the men’s tournament website to be one which is extremely user friendly given its content management system is based around the Microsoft suite of programs. The NSW Open site is now live at www.nswopen.com and visitors will be able to easily navigate through each screen and gain access to all the relevant tournament information. The Women’s NSW Open website is in the final stages of its creation and will mirror the NSW Open site in terms of its ease of use, both from a management perspective as well as the end user. Golf NSW s General Manager, Commercial, James Black is delighted with the relationship that has been formed with Langoor. Langoor have honestly been a pleasure to work with and we are extremely happy with the look and functionality of the new websites he said before adding nothing has been a problem for Ruchir and his team and we look forward to visitors to each site being able to view a fresh new look as well as obtain vital tournament information in the lead up to and during each tournament . Langoor Managing Director, Ruchir Punjabi shares the excitement of being linked to Golf NSW. We see the association with golf’s NSW state body having the potential for us to provide great ideas in website design and hosting for clubs, their members and even businesses related to each he commented. We are pleased with the outcome of the two new websites we have developed with Golf NSW and look forward to answering any enquiry from clubs on matters relating to web design work . Clubs and members can find out more about our partnership at http://www.langoor.com.au/golfnsw/index.htm or contact Ruchir on 02 9280 4422 for advice or to provide a quote on any web related matter. Langoor will be extremely competitive and are offering interested parties free hosting services for 12 months as well as a preferred partner rate for your work and judging by the arrangement with Golf NSW it will be difficult to find a more efficient and cost effective service. We encourage you to consider Langoor, and thank you for your ongoing support – Good golfing.
