Le Vesconte finishes second

Australian golfer Adam Le Vesconte has finished second behind Chinese Taipei&aposs Lin Wen-tang at the Brunei Open. Going into the final day Le Vesconte had a four-stroke advantage at the top of the leaderboard, but a triple bogey six at the fourth hole dropped him back to the pack. Le Vesconte fought back with two birdies on the back nine, but Lin&aposs final round of 65 was enough to seal a two shot victory. “The triple bogey hurt my chances,” a disappointed Le Vesconte said. “I pulled my six iron into the bunker face and got plugged and I had no stance what so ever, and needed three shots to get out.” “I played okay for the next few holes but I kept making silly bogeys. The putter wasn&apost good today. I missed a few putts from three or four feet which I haven&apost done all week. It just wasn&apost to be.” Fellow Australian Scott Barr finished in equal third place, three shots behind Lin, while compatriot Neven Basic was the next best Aussie in a share of seventh.
