Lindsey Wright is the best of the Aussies after the opening round of the first Major of the year; the Kraft Nabisco Championship. Wright carded a one-over to be in a share of 29th spot. Wright&aposs day started with a bogey on her second hole, but she quickly fired back with a birdie before settling down to card six consecutive pars. A pair of bogeys on her second nine put Wright at two-over, but the Aussie recovered to post a credible 73. Webb&aposs day never really got going as the Queenslander uncharacteristically posted a round without a birdie. The Australian Open champion opened with back-to-back bogeys and dropped another couple of shots either side of the turn. It was a similar story for Hetherington and Hull who had their moments of brilliance, but were plagued by inconsistency and inopportune bogeys. Karen Stupples of England leads by one shot at five-under from world number one Lorena Ochoa and Ai Miyazato of Japan. Click here for a full leaderboard. Meanwhile, Australia&aposs number one Karrie Webb and compatriots Rachel Hetherington and Katherine Hull are four-over.
