Brazilian Lucas Lee holds a one-shot lead heading into the final day of the Thailand Open. Lee hit an eight-foot birdie putt on the final hole on Saturday to give him the slender advantage over defending champion Chris Wood of England and China&aposs Hu Mu. The leader hit a seven-under 65 on Saturday in the tournament, jointly sanctioned by the OneAsia Tour and the Japan Golf Tour Organisation. Lee was paired with Wood, who also shot a 65, and three-time Major winner Padraig Harrington of Ireland, and said he was happy to play well in such good company at the Thana City Golf & Sports Club. “After the first hole you try to forget who they are and try to beat them like any other of the guys, but they do hit the ball very well,” Lee said. “It was a good learning experience. Tomorrow I&aposm just going to try and be as positive as possible, while also keeping it simple.” Hu went one better than Wood, carding an eight-under 64 to move into a tie for second, while Scotland&aposs Simon Yates and Australia&aposs Scott Strange are locked level for fourth. Yates also hit a 64 while Strange, who was the overnight leader, was forced to settle for a four-under 68. Local hope Prayad Marksaeng of Thailand is still in striking distance, three shots off the lead in a tie for sixth with Aussie Terry Pilkadaris. And while he may be five shots off the lead, the best performer on the day was Japan&aposs Katsumasa Miyamoto, who shot a nine-under 63, a round that equalled the course record.
