Lee pushes for top 10 ranking

Minjee Lee is projected to jump into the top 10 on the LPGA Tour after another strong finish at the tournament in Arkansas today.

Australia's Lee, 20, continues to push for a top-10 world ranking after she tied-eighth in the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship over three rounds.

The Perth superstar, already a two-time winner on the LPGA Tour in America, made a nice two-putt birdie at the par-five 18th for a closing 67, finishing 12-under overall, five shots behind world No. 1 Lydia Ko who won yet again.

Lee was ranked 13th in the world going into the event, and 11th in the season-long Race to CME Globe points event. She is expected to jump to 10th in the points race after today, and is in brilliant form approaching the Women's US Open.

Of the other Australians, Sarah Jane Smith and Su Oh both tied-32nd in the event, with Victorian Oh continuing to hold the second Australian spot in the Olympic Games team, narrowly ahead of veteran Karrie Webb.

Ko won her 13th LPGA Tour event easily, despite hitting a ball in the water at the last.
