On the weekend junior golfers from across the state played in a round of the Jack Newton Junior Golf series at the Wagga Wagga Country Club. The Junior Masters was the prelude to the $45,000 Wagga Pro-Am which is played this week on Tuesday and Wednesday (8-9th March). The winner of the Boys Aged 12 and 13 Division was Charlie Pilon (Wagga Wagga Country Club) with rounds of 80 – 76. Pilon beat fellow local Blake Jorgensed (Wagga Wagga Country Club) with rounds of 80 – 78. It was Charlie&aposs telling tee shot on the 18th hole which rattled the flagstick before dropping inches from the hole for a tap in birdie and victory over Blake his playing partner.
