Lefties’ chance to prove who’s right

If you’ve ever said “this course is built for righties”.

If you can’t always find a glove in your pro shop.

Or even if you’re just sick of hearing about hooks snapping into the trees on the left when you know full well they go right, this is for you.

The National Association of Left Handed Golfers is holding its 50th anniversary tournament in October on the mid-north New South Wales coast.

The golf clubs of Port Macquarie, Wauchope and South West Rocks will throw open their doors to those who know, deep down inside, that they’re standing on the correct side of the golf ball — even if they might have been forced as kids to swing from the dark side.

And from October 25-30, you’ll be “right” among your lefty brothers and sisters.

It’s expected that more than 200 golfers will play during the week and yes, right-handed partners are welcome.

There will be A, B and C grade competitions with senior and super-senior divisions as well with players competing for more than $8000 of prizes.

To be eligible you need to be a member of the NALG. Check the association website at www.nalg-nsw.org.au for more details.
