Victorian local Marc Leishman has completed an outstanding year in the United States by being crowned PGA Tour Rookie of the Year. Leishman, who finished fourth at last week&aposs Australian PGA Championship, is now ranked at 101 in the world as the end of 2009 approaches. His year included seven top-20 finishes and three finishes in the Top 10 including a runner-up finish at the BMW Championship during the FedEx Cup play-offs. He also finished in a tie for fifth at the Valero Texas Open and eighth the following week at the HP Byron Nelson Championship. Leishman follows in the footsteps of previous winners including current British Open champion Stewart Cink, former US Masters champion Trevor Immelman and rising star Sean O&aposHair.
