Kingston Heath Golf Club&aposs Grace Lennon is the 2013 Tasmanian Women&aposs medallist. The Victorian defeated Hayley Bettencourt (WA) and Sarah Johnstone (TAS) on the second hole of a sudden-death play-off with a birdie to win the title at Ulverstone today. The trio were forced into a play-off when they finished the 18-hole qualifying round with two-over-par scores of 75. Launceston Golf Club member and former champion Tammy Hall placed fourth on seven-over-par (80) with Port Sorell&aposs Sharon Crowden in fifth on eight-over-par (81). The leading qualifier in the women&aposs handicap section was Mowbray Golf Club&aposs Maree Fish. The leading 8 players from today&aposs qualifying round move into the match play section of the tournament which commenced this afternoon.
