Letzig continues impressive form

Michael Letzig continued his impressive form to hold a four stroke lead in the season-ending Nationwide Tour Championship at Barona Creek. Letzig followed up his course record 60 with another impressive round of 66, which included an eagle on the 17th hole. Meanwhile, Australian David McKenzie continues his battle to finish in the top 25 on the Nationwide Tour&aposs money-earner&aposs list, in order to gain PGA Tour entry for next year. After carding a four-under 67 in the first round, McKenzie recovered from a bad start to finish to the day at three-under and in a tie for 15th overall. Currently sitting at 23rd on the money-earner&aposs list he will be hoping to climb the leaderboard in the next round to ensure he doesn&apost miss out on the PGA Tour next year. Fellow Australian Greg Chalmers shot a six-under round of 65, that sees him move up to a tie for 13th. Other Australians Scott Gardiner and Aron Price are struggling down the wrong end, both at four-under for the tournament. Matthew Jones, who is already assured of his place on the PGA Tour next year is a further two shots behind.
