With the cut being 1-under par, 82 players survived. However, Michelle Wie (+1) headlines the exclusions. Karrie Webb, Stacey Keating and Laura Davies all narrowly avoided the cut. At one stage she regained her overnight lead, but a bogey on the 14th bought her back level with clubhouse leader Jiyai Shin. Mariajo Uribe also continues to go quietly about her business, with four birdies thru 13 pushing her to 3rd at 13-under par. ==== 2:30pm – Friday, February 15 Kristie Smith (-10) and Jiyai Shin (-14) spoke to the media following their rounds of -5 and -6 respectively. Smith, the leading Aussie, said that it was her putting that led to a great round. “I didn&apost hit the ball that great, but my putting kept me in it,” Smith said. “I don&apost have that fear…I feel like I can just get up there and rip it down the middle.” “You&aposll have to get to probably 20-22 under on this course if it keeps running.” Contrastingly clubhouse leader Shin said it was her driving which stood out today. “My strength is straight hitting with my driver. When I saw the straight fairways, I really liked that,” Shin told the media. “I feel very comfortable, I just hit it really consistently.” She also spoke of the long return from a shoulder injury, saying it spurred her golf on. “After the surgery, I rediscovered my passion for golf,” she said. “I feel really good. I worked hard to rebuild my muscles on my left side.” Overnight leader Lydia Ko has started her second round the same way she finished her first, with four birdies in her first seven holes to sit level with Shin at -14. It isn&apost all doom and gloom however, as she still remains in a tie for 4th at -8 for the tournament. Jiyai Shin sits alone at the top of the leaderboard, with overnight leader Lydia Ko getting her second round underway at 12.50pm. ==== 10:45am – Friday, February 15 We&aposve had another big mover this morning, with Giulia Sergas holing four birdies in the first seven holes to move to -10, equal in the lead with Lydia Ko (Ko tees off at 12:50pm) and Jiyai Shin. Aussie Kristie Smith is in the race at -5 after a -3 start to this morning, while namesake Sarah Jane Smith has done well with three birdies this morning to move to -7 and a tie for 7th.
