Lonard and Gardiner contending in Idaho

Peter Lonard and Scott Gardiner are the leading Australians at the completion of round two of the Albertsons Boise Open in Boise, Idaho. Both are in 13th position and although six behind the leader, Michael Putnam, they have both made significant progress with their respective rounds of 65 (Lonard) and 66 (Gardiner). Both are in need of good finishes over the next seven events of the Web.com Tour. Gardiner is currently in 18th position on the money list and needs perhaps another US$20,000 to be assured of graduating to the PGA Tour for the first occasion. Lonard is in 67th position but has put together one or two good events of late and one good week can make quite a difference in his quest for various money list milestones, whether they be top 25, top 40 to make it to the Final Stage of Tour School or the top 60 to ensure full Web.com Tour status in 2013. New Zealander Danny Lee is in 19th position this week while Bronson La Cassie and Steve Bowditch just made the cut in 53rd spot.
