Japan&aposs Mayu Hattori became the first Japanese winner on the tour since Chie Arimura won the Cyber Agent Ladies on April 29. It took a 25-foot eagle putt on the par-5 18th at Camellia Hills Country Club to give Hattori a one shot victory over compatriots Sakura Yokomine and Chie Arimura.

Hattori started the day tied with Yokomine and South Korean Sun Ju Ahn. By the time the final group had reached the 16th hole she was behind Ahn and Arimura by two strokes. Arimura could only post two pars to finish, posting 14-under par as the score to catch.
rn
rnBoth Yokomine and Hattori made birdie at the 17th hole to reach 13-under par, while Ahn also got to that mark on the back of a bogey at the penultimate hole. That left the three players in the last group all needing a birdie on the last hole, a par-5, to force a playoff.
rn
rnIn the end, Ahn could only make par, Yokomine made her birdie but Hattori stole the show with her long eagle putt. It was her first win of the season and the fourth of her career and afterwards she said, I made bogeys during my round and things turned tough, but once again I have realized the importance of never giving up. All I was thinking about was giving it my best shot, but the end result is that I have stopped the streak, so I&aposm pleased.”
rn
rn
Hattori, when talking about the streak was referring to the fact that South Korean golfers including Ahn, money rankings leader Mi Jeong Jeon and Inbee Park had won six of the seven previous events, while China’s Shanshan Feng won the Yonex Ladies in May.
rn
rnNikki Campbell was the only Australian competing finishing 55th on a score of 1-over par. She remains in the all-important Top-50 on the money list with ¥7,246,500 in season earnings (approx. AUD$89,459) for 45th place.
