Japan&aposs latest star-in-the-making, Chie Arimura collected her second win of the season at the CAT Ladies on Sunday. She finished one shot in front of compatriot Rikako Morita who was two shots in front of Miki Saiki.
rn
rnHeading into the final round with a two-shot lead, Arimura mixed two birdies with two bogeys on the front nine, while Morita picked up a shot with a 1-under front nine. It was Morita who was making all the running and twice joined Arimura in a share of the lead, sandwiching a bogey on the 12th hole with birdies on 11 and 13.
rn
rnMorita actually took the lead with another birdie at the 15th, while Arimura was playing par golf. However, it was the 16th hole which Arimura birdied to regain control of the tournament with a two-shot swing as Morita bogeyed.   Arimura nailed an 8-iron from 158 yards to 10-feet to set up her birdie, while Morita found deep rough off the tee and failed to find the green with her second shot.
rn
rnTwo pars were enough for Arimura, the Rolex World No. 20, to hold and win the CAT Ladies; her 9th career victory. Her second win of the season sees her move up to third on the Money List. Afterwards she said, “I&aposd like to meet golf fans&apos expectations by contending for the money title. I think Morita-san played better today. But I still managed to win, so this is a significant confidence boost.”
rn
rnBoth Nikki Campbell and Tamie Durdin finished in a tie for 25th at 2-under par. In fact they had remarkably similar tournaments, both shooting rounds of 72, 72 and 73 on the par-73 layout. Both players will have to continue to play well, Campbell sits in 42nd on the Money List while Durdin will need to climb the rankings; currently sitting in 58th.
