Australia&aposs Tamie Durdin secured her maiden victory on the lucrative LPGA of Japan after the third round was cancelled due to strong winds. South Korea&aposs Jiyai Shin finished in second place while a quartet of Japanese players finished in a tie for third; Sakura Yokomine, Shinobu Moromizato, Kuniko Maeda and Ami Shiozaki.

rnDurdin finished with a 36-hole total of 7-under par 137 after rounds of 68 and 67. This left her three shots clear of the World No.3, Shin who had fired two rounds of 70.

rnDurdin’s second round was delayed after nine holes but she came back on Sunday to fire two birdies and seven pars on the waterlogged Kawana Hotel layout to take what would have been a three-shot lead into the final round. However, the dangerous winds made it impossible for the officials to sanction any further play and the final round was cancelled.

rnNikki Campbell finished in a tie for 32nd at 5-over par total 149 after rounds of 75 and 74.
