China&aposs Shan-Shan Feng collected her second win in only six starts in Japan On Sunday she came from behind to win the Miyagi TV Cup Dunlop Ladies Open by one stroke over Yuri Fudoh. Shiho Oyama was in outright third, three shots behind Feng.
rn
rnFeng, the 22-year-old from Guangzhou, playing in the second-to-last group, birdied the final two holes for a two-shot lead before Fudoh narrowly missed her eagle attempt from 50 yards out on the 18th and had to settle for a birdie, and second place.
rn
rnFeng started the day three strokes behind Fudoh, before firing a 4-under par 68 to finish at 8-under 208 pocketing ¥12.6 million. Fudoh began the final round with a one shot lead over Oyama but could only manage an even par round of 72, the Japan LPGA Tour all-time career earnings leader losing ground with bogeys at the 6th, 9th and 15th holes. Feng’s bogey-free back nine was the catalyst for the win, only hitting the lead after her birdie on the 17th hole.
rn
rnAfterwards she said, “I&aposve won twice in my rookie season on this tour, so Japan is definitely a lucky place for me. I didn&apost hit the ball too well today, but my approach shots and putts went really well in tough situations.
