South Korean Mi-Jeong Jeon, has claimed her second title of the season with an outstanding victory at the Meiji Chocolate Cup.  The South Korean had five birdies against one bogey in a final round of 4- under par 68 finishing six strokes clear on 9- under par 207.  Last season’s top earner Japan’s Miho Koga  had a final round 3-under par 69 to share second place with compatriot’s Yuiko Mistuka and Modori Yoneyama

rnJeon who won last month’s Resort Trust Ladies, maintained her composure in the final round after bogeying the third hole, rolled in a 15-foot birdie putt on the 5th before going two shots clear with another birdie on the 9th.  After the turn Jeon added 4 more birdies to claim her second Meiji Chocolate Cup win.  “I wasn’t confident before I started but I just tried to play my game and developed a rhythm,” said Jeon, who claimed her maiden JLPGA title here in 2006.  “Today I played with my previous win here in mind.”

rnAfter a shaky start of 5-over par 77 Nikki Campbell’s final two rounds of 3-under par 69 saw her claw back to finish a tie for 7th earning ¥2,475,000 (approx AUD $34,368.30).  Tamie Durdin missed the cut with rounds of 78 and 76.
