Japan&aposs Sakura Yokomine captured her third title of the season on Sunday at the rain-shortened Nichirei PGM Ladies, in Miho, Japan. She held a two-shot overnight lead and clinched victory after tournament officials were forced to suspend and eventually cancel Sunday&aposs final round because of torrential rain at Miho Golf Club. Compatriot Chie Arimura finished in the runner-up position, two shots behind Yokomine. A further stroke back in a tie for third was a trio of players; Japan’s Miho Koga and Rikako Morita and Korea’s Mi-Jeong Jeon.

The popular 23-year-old also made the comment, “If you think the tournament is going to be canceled your motivation drops, so I was just waiting and ready to play. I think I have done well to win three tournaments this season. I am building good pace."
