Luck records best pro finish

Curtis Luck continues to impress on the US PGA Tour, notching his best finish to date at the Dean and Deluca Invitational today.

The West Australian later tweeted it was a "bit more experience under the belt" – and almost all of it has been good in his short spell as a professional.

Luck carded a closing one-under-par 69 at Colonial Country Club to finish T34 alongside Victorian Marc Leishman as the joint leading Australians among the 10 who pegged it up in Texas.

Geoff Ogilvy also closed with a 69 to finish four over, three adrift of Luck and Leishman, while Matt Jones matched that final round en route to a six-over finish.

American Kevin Kisner made a par-saving 1.5m putt on the final hole to clinch a one-stroke victor, his 66 to finish at 10 under total providing his second US PGA Tour victory to go with six runner-up finishes.

Luck, who turned pro after the Masters in April, fired rounds of 68-73-71-69 to again highlight his growing comfort at the top level with many big names in his wake.
