Luna stays in charge at Chantaco

Diana Luna opened up a three-stroke lead at the Ladies Open de France courtesy of a two-under-par third round of 68 on Saturday. Italian Luna held the overnight lead by two shots at the Chantaco Golf Club, and she increased the margin further to sit clear of a three-way tie for second place. Frenchwoman Anne-Lise Caudal, Spaniard Carlota Ciganda and Stacey Keating of Australia are all eight-under overall at the Ladies European Tour event near Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Aquitaine. Thailand&aposs Titiya Plucksataporn, Azahara Munoz of Spain and American Hannah Jun are a shot further back in a tie for fifth place. Luna, 30, is closing in on her sixth Ladies European Tour victory, courtesy of another solid showing in southern France. She started strongly with four birdies in the space of five holes on her front nine, including three in succession between the third and fifth. Her lead going into Sunday&aposs deciding round could have been greater, were it not for two bogeys on the way in, the dropped shots coming at the 14th and 18th.
