Lyle in the hunt

Australian Jarrod Lyle has fired a four-under-par 66 to move within three strokes of the leaders at the Mayakoba Golf Classic in Mexico. Lyle reeled off three straight birdies to finish his round, after earlier having trouble at the sixth hole with a double bogey, to move into a tie for fifth. James Nitties is also in contention going into the final round after a steady round of 69 to move to within five shots at minus six. Aron Price is a further three strokes back after a round of 68 while Nick O Hern (68), Jason Day (72) and Peter Lonard (73) are well back in the field. Leaders Mark Wilson (69) and Bo Van Pelt (67) are at 11 under and are both well-placed to take the title in the final round. Wilson shot a brilliant seven-under-par 64 in the second round while Van Pelt had an equally impressive 63 to open his account.
