Danial Cook books his ticket to the 2018 Isuzu Queensland Open winning the Golf North Queensland Open at Mackay Golf Club with scores of 72 & 68 (140).
Cook won by one shot over Pelican Waters Golf Club member Justin Morley and Peter Brittain from Pioneer Valley Golf Club.
A remarkable last round saw him miss only 4 greens in regulation and in addition to this great ball striking, he also chipped in twice.
Cook said he hadn’t being playing that much recently as he is currently juggling his father duties to 4- month old daughter Ruby and is also the publican at the Eaton Pub.
But a trip to Brisbane and the Isuzu Queensland Open is now on the cards and he is looking forward to playing again in the city he once lived, after moving to Mackay 4 years ago.
