NSW has locked away top spot in section one of Division One Pennant after a 5 1/2 to 1 1/2 win over second-placed Cronulla on Sunday.
Zac Mullins, Shaun Cameron and Adam Steege all recorded big wins, with Mullin's 7&6 win the highlight.
Mona Vale, fresh from their home win over NSW last week accounted for Ryde-Parramatta 4 to 3 at Ryde Parramatta, with Andy Hugill the best with a 5&4 win.
Bonnie Doon is close to securing top spot in section two after a 4 1/2 to 2 1/2 win over Bankstown. James Grierson was impressive with a 6&4 win over Harrison Glenday.
Pymble kept their semi-final chances alive with a 4 to 3 win over Long Reef at Long Reef.
The 'Doon' will need a good result against Bankstown next week to ensure they won't be caught by rivals Pymble next week.
Avondale made it five from five with a dominant 6 to 1 win over Macquarie Links at Macquarie Links, while Pennant HIlls were no match for The Australian, going down 6 to 1 away from home.
Jye Pickin continued his good run of form with a 5&3 win for Avondale while for the Australian, Ethan Chamber was their best with a 7&6 win over Damian Maguire.
Concord grabbed a vital away win over Moore Park to maintain a half point lead in their Division over St. Michael's, who moved into second spot after hammeringCastle Hill 6 1/2 to 1/2.
Nicholas Watt and Josh Gadd proved the key for Concord with 3&2 wins, while for St. Michael's Luka Brucic and Jamie Krzyszczak were the big winners, by 6&5 and 6&4 respectively.
DIVISION TWO
Section one is anyone's after Cromer edged out Lynwood and North Ryde got the better of Liverpool at home.
Liverpool will meet Noth Ryde at home next week, and with a strong for-and against look like they could take the group by simply winning the home match.
Massey Park and Penrith will face off on Sunday to decide who progresses from section two, with Massey Park firm favourites to progress after squeezing out a 3 1/2 all draw at Penrith last week. Benjamin Smith Stephen Carroll and Shane Fitzpatrick did the work for Massey Park, with close winds in the middle order.
The Lakes have locked away their place in the semi-finals after a 5 1/2 1 1/2 win at home against Glenmore Heritage. Alex Katholos the best for the lakes, winning 8 & 6.
Monash is assured of their semi spot after defeating Stonecutters Ridge at Colebee on Sunday. Anthony Tan the best for Monash with a 4&3 win.
DIVISION THREE
Eastlake and Carnarvon will fight out section one next Sunday after Carnarvon grabbed a vital point at home against their eastern suburbs opponents. With a one-game advantage, Eastlake is in the box seat to progress.
Manly look to have the edge in section two with a half point lead over Camden after the Northern beaches club grabbed a half point against neighbouring Wakehurst.
Camden will need a favour from Wakehurst and a solid win agaisn Campbelltown at Campbelltown to progress.
Lakeside are assured of their semi-final spot after a 5 to 2 win over Antill Park at Picton; Scott Shanahan the best for Lakeside with an 8&6 win.
Dunheved is also assured of a semi spot after a 6 1/2 to 1/2 thumping of Wallacia at home; Dillyn Burazin and Dean Neill scoring big 5&4 wins.
DIVISION FOUR
Richmond will be hoping for a big win at home to knock off frontrunners Warringah to claim the top spot in section one. After going down to their opponents at 4 /12 to 2 1/2 at Warringah last weekend.
Bardwell Valley is still a possibility, however, will need Richmond to prevail in a close match and then have a big win over Beverley Park away from home.
Springwood was assured of a semi spot after a big win over Northbridge away last weekend. Wins from Sal Ballard, David Limbach and Mark Smith were the standouts.
Marrickville is safely into the semis after a 4 to 3 win at home over Leonay. Stephen Oitmaa and John M Mumford grabbed big wins, 6&5 respectively.
Section four is anyone's with Randwick and Palm Beach tied on points and only separated by half a match. Randwick faces neighbours The Coast this weekend, and Palm Beach with have a tricky match at Kareela to decide who progresses.
DIVISION FIVE
Chatswood and Cammeray both face tough away games to see who take out section one. Cammeray accounted for neighbours Roseville 5 to 2 last weekend while Chatswood got the better of Bondi 4 1/2 to 2 1/2.
Georgers River is into the Semis after a 4 1/2 to 2 1/2 win over Barnwell Park. Shannon Speller had a good win 7&6 to set up the win.
Riverside Oaks have made it into the playoffs after a 4 to 3 win over Hurstville. Best for the Oaks was Jeremy White with a 5&4 victory.
WOMENS MAJOR PENNANT
SECTION ONE
The Australian, already assured of a semi-final place in the semis, recorded a five-nil win at home over neighbours The Lakes. Jessica Lasky had a solid win 7&5, while Brielle Mapanao, who was recently selected as a Golf NSW development representative for the upcoming Australian Junior Champs, won 5&4.
Concord, also assured of a semi place accounted for Stonecutrters Ridge 5- nil. Doey Choi, fresh from her silver medal for Australia in the Queen Sirikit cup, made short work of Stonecutters Helen Haynes with a 9&7 win.
Bonnie Doon and St. Michael's have also progressed to the semi finals with 5- nil wins last weekend. Interest will be in who finishes on top in the gorup with both teams away this week.
SECTION TWO
Cronulla, in their first year in Women's Metropolitan Major Pennant are in the box seat to progress in section one after a 3 to 2 win over Ryde-Parramatta at home.
Their nearest opponents, Avondale, could only manage a draw with Penrith at home, and now require a big win in a tough away match at the foot of the mountains to have any chance of qaulifying for the semi-finals. Ryde-PArramatta, who can still qualify, will need a big win at home against Cronulla, and hope Avondale loses to Penrith to progress.
Moore Park and Pymble are tied for the lead in section two on four points and assured of semi final places. Moore Park trounced Cumberland 5 – nil last weekend to go to a handy three and a half match lead. Pymbe face a tough return match agasinst N Orth Ryde this week after wining 3 1/2 to 1 1/2 last weekend at home.
