Finland&aposs Jaakko Makitalo headlines a three-way tie for the lead after the first round of the Queen&aposs Cup in Thailand, with Australians David Lutterus and Matt Jager five shots off the pace. Makitalo, Japan&aposs Daisuke Kataoka and Malaysian Danny Chia top the leaderboard on six under after each opened with a 65 at the Santiburi Samui Country Club in Samui, while Lutterus and Jager are back in a share for 10th place after 70s. Makitalo could manage only a single birdie from his first nine holes, but sunk a further five after the turn to move to the top of the standings. Bangladesh&aposs Mohammad Siddikur has outright second place on five under, two strokes clear of Filipino Elmer Salvador and Thailand&aposs Jazz Janewattananond. Swede Peter Gustafsson, Taiwan&aposs Chien-Yao Hung and Thai Pavit Tangkamolprasert are on two under. Lutterus and Jager head the Aussie contingent, with Jake Higginbottom two shots further back and Matthew Stieger in equal 46th place after a 74.
