Maslen Win NSW Senior Classic

Concord's Paul Maslen has won the NSW Senior Classic by 9 strokes after winning two of the three individual events.

Maslen won the Avondale event today with a fine round of 73.  In second place today and overall was The Lakes' Roy Vandersluis, and in third place overall was Royal Canberra's Darryl Whitehead.

Concord's Paul Maslen leads the NSW Senior Classic by 4 strokes after a brilliant round of 71 today at The Australian.

Maslen leads by four strokes to Paul Day (Kooindah), and by five strokes to Royal Canberra's Darryl Whitehead and Kingston Heath's Gordon Claney, with one round to play.

The NSW Senior Classic event is a combination of the three seniors events held at The Lakes, The Australian and Avondale Golf Clubs.

On day 1 at The :Lakes, Bexley's Thomas Yates won after a two hole play-off against Paul Day, with both players shooting 75's.  On day 2 at The Australian, Maslen's round of 71 was the best by four strokes.

The final day will be held tomorrow at Avondale GC.
