McGuinness and Burrows win at Royal Adelaide

Tea Tree Gully&aposs Nathan McGuinness and Mount Osmond&aposs Ronald Burrows have taken divisional honours at the Golf SA Open Day held at Royal Adelaide. McGuinness (11 handicap) fired an impressive 39 points to win the A Grade division on a count back from Michael Dopson (Clare Golf Club, 10) with David Davis (The Grange, 14) finishing third a further shot back on 38 points. The B Grade also proved to be a tightly fought contest, with Mt Osmond&aposs Ronald Burrows (20 handicap) carding an excellent 41 points to pip Russell Youlten (Vines Golf Club of Reynella, 19) and Phil Laurie (The Grange, 22) who both finished a shot back on 40 points. A full field of almost 150 players contested the Open Day in perfect conditions across the Royal Adelaide layout. Golf SA&aposs final metropolitan Open Day will be held at Glenelg Golf Club on Monday 31 January. Online registrations via the Golf Link site will be available from Thursday 13 January.
