Mona Vale Golf Club member Albinski (NSW), who also won in 2009, progressed to final after victories over Denis Dale (NSW) and Greg Stanford (NSW) on Tuesday. Greville defeated Ian McPherson (WA) and Graham Blizard (NSW) en route to the final.
Defending champion Stefan Albinski is one of the eight players to progress to the quarter finals of the Australian Men&aposs Senior Match Play Championship at Twin Creeks Golf and Country Club in Sydney. Mona Vale Golf Club member Albinski (NSW), who also won in 2009, joins two time former champion Chris Coats (QLD), 2008 champion Denis Dale (NSW) and Graham Blizard (NSW), Keith Thornely (NSW), Richard Greville (NSW), Ian McPherson (WA) and Greg Stanford (NSW) in the final eight following today&aposs first two rounds. The quarter and semi finals will be played on Tuesday with the final to be played on Wednesday morning. The Australian Men&aposs Senior Match Play Championship is open to the leading 32 players from the Australian Men&aposs Senior Ranking System; and a Super Senior Section for the leading 8 players aged 65 years and over. It is played over two and a half days, with players who are eliminated from the main championship progressing to consolation flights.
