The Metropolitan duo of Jane Hao and Carolyn Briggs produced an outstanding 47 points in the Royal Women’s Hospital Metropolitan 4BBB Final to finish as the top qualifiers for the upcoming State Final.
62 pairs teed it up today having previously qualified for the Metropolitan Final after winning their home club event which is the first stage of the three-stage event.
Top honours for the morning field went to the Box Hill Golf Club pair of Dianne Graham & Libby Thomas who set the benchmark with an impressive score of 45 points after heading out early.
The National Golf Club pair of Jennifer Rabl & Merryn Graer claimed the runner-up prize in the AM field, finishing just one-point shy on 44 points.
In the afternoon, Hao and Briggs’ remarkable 47 points saw them finish three clear of the afternoon runner-up in Michelle Levinson and Mary-Ann Hollyfield (Southern GC) who finished with 44 points.

The Golf Australia initiative to raise funds to support the Royal Women’s Hospital Pelvic Floor unit was initiated in 2006 by Women’s Golf Victoria.
The top 12 pairs from today’s Metropolitan Final will meet with the winners and runners-up from the District Finals to contest the third and final stage (State Final) at Southern GC on Monday 28 October.
