Glenelg&aposs Jenny Lee was victorious in her side&aposs clean sweep against Blackwood Glenelg, Kooyonga and Royal Adelaide have confirmed their status as favourites for the 2011 Metropolitan Pennants trophy, with victories in round 2 of A1 Women&aposs Pennants over the weekend. In a tightly fought contest, Kooyonga defeated The Grange 3 matches to 2, while Glenelg and Royal Adelaide were dominant in recording 5 – 0 victories over Blackwood and Golf SA Fringe respectively. Ann Vanstone, Lyn Mcgough and Emma Ash starred for Kooyonga while junior player Kristalle Blum was particularly impressive in registering one of Grange&aposs two points. Blackwood and the Golf SA Fringe side had little to cheer about in round 2, with only Angela Masters (Blackwood) taking her game to the wire in eventually going down by a hole to Glenelg&aposs Jenny Lee. Next week&aposs round three matches are hosted at Royal Adelaide, with the hosts taking on Kooyonga, Glenelg playing Golf SA and Blackwood playing The Grange.
