Metropolitan sweep the Joan Fisher Plate

The Metropolitan Golf Club members dominated on their home track today, sweeping the prize table at the Joan Fisher Plate.

For the second consecutive year, Jeneath Wong came out on top, winning by eight shots to fellow Metropolitan Golf Club member Siobhan Anderson.

The 14-year-old fired rounds of 72 and 76 to finish with an even-par total of 148 after 36 holes.

Wong, the current club champion at The Metropolitan Golf Club, also added the Victorian Women’s Champion of Champions Gross and Net trophies to her collection, which were played in conjunction with the Joan Fisher Plate for the fourth consecutive year.

Wong beat out Ashleigh Hall from Kingston Heath in the morning to claim the Net prize before finishing 10 shots ahead of Jess Pickwick of Kilmore after 36 holes to claim the gross prize.

The Joan Fisher 36 hole Net prize was taken out by Katherine Kemp.

Also a member at Metropolitan, Kemp returned a net 36 hole score of 151 to beat out Tiana Wanigasekera of Spring Valley who claimed the Runner Up prize with a score of 154.
