MFS Senior & Mid Amateurs in full swing

Queenslander Wendy O&aposConnell battled scorching conditions in the second round of the MFS Women&aposs Senior to be leading after the stroke play qualifying component of the event. The defending champion sits on a combined total of 166, four strokes ahead of Sylvia Donohoe of New South Wales and five ahead of Victorian Marilyn Clifford as Thursday sees the tournament shift into match play mode. Also at Glenelg Golf Club, the inaugural MFS Women&aposs Mid-Amateur is in full swing. Jill Hodge is putting her local knowledge to good use as she leads the field from CHristine Trimmer and Julie Swanson with two rounds to play.
