Mickelson rises to 2

Phil Mickelson is back as world number two on the World Golf Rankings following his victory in the Players Championship in Florida. Tiger Woods remains at number one on the rankings with a 20.49 points average, with Mickelson a long way behind at 9.34 and Jim Furyk third with 7.53. Adam Scott (7.23) is the highest-ranked Australian at number four while Geoff Ogilvy (5.76) is at eighth and Nick O&aposHern (3.18) coming in at 20th. Stuart Appleby (22nd, 3.15), Robert Allenby (24th, 3.12) and Aaron Baddely (29th, 2.91) are all in the top 30, while Rod Pampling (38th, 2.52) makes it into the top 50 as well.
