Congratulations to Lesley Montfort from Tanunda Pines Golf Club who won the Mid North Champion of Champions and the A Grade Silver Salver.
Hosted by Tanunda Pines Golf Club on Friday the 24th of August, nearly 70 women from around the Mid North competed in perfect weather, on a course which proved a challenge for all.
The competition for the three levels of Salvers, Silver, Bronze and C Grade was over 18 holes, whilst the Champions of their clubs in the Mid North competed over 27 holes for the title of Champion of Champions.
Strong competition in the final 9 holes from Megan Button – Highercombe GC, Celia Douglas – Penfield GC and Fiona Hockings from Barossa Valley GC created an exciting result, with Lesley finally winning by 3 shots.
The Bronze Salver Winner was Jane Hayes from Highercombe GC.
The C Grade Salver Winner was Cherry Hoey from Tanunda Pines.
RunnersUp were Roz Newstead from Tanunda Pines GC in the Silver Salver, Penny Holmes from Tanunda Pines Golf Club in the Bronze Salver and Peggy Gebhardt from Burra GC in the C Grade Salver.
The A Grade Net winner was Julieanne Smith from Clare GC ocb to Anne Evers from Tanunda Pines GC.
Bronze Net winner was Chris Pfitzner from Kapunda GC, Runnerup Di Day from Burra GC.
