Minjee Lee 3 back in Alabama

Australia's Minjee Lee has promised a ''pretty aggressive'' mindset as she starts the final round of another LPGA Tour event in the final group tomorrow in Alabama.

Lee, the 19-year-old from Perth who has already won twice on the world's top female tour, is tied-second three shots from the lead held by Thailand's Ariya Jutanugarn, who soared to the lead in the Yokohoma LPGA Classic with a 63 today.

The world No. 12 has a chance to jump inside the top 10 on the rankings for the first time with a strong finish tomorrow. She carded a four-under 68 today with five birdies and one bogey, reaching 11-under overall.

"I know Ariya is leading by a couple of shots, so I guess I don't have much to lose, and can be pretty aggressive,'' said the young woman from Perth after her round. "I mean, (I) actually quite a lot of holes we hit wedges in. So if you take advantage of that, you can definitely capitalise on those holes, and then the par 5s, some of them are reachable, so they are also available, so yes, I think it’s definitely a course you can have a low number on.”

 Lee, who will defend her initial LPGA title win at the Kingsmill Championship next week, won the Lotte Championship in Hawaii last month and is set to represent Australia at the Olympic Games in Rio De Janeiro. A former world No. 1 amateur and United States girls' champion, she is a member of Golf Australia's rookie squad of young professionals.

 It has been a good week in Alabama for the Australians, with Queenslander Sarah Jane Smith tied-13th through three rounds, and Victoria's Su Oh also tied-24th.

Meanwhile on the US PGA Tour, John Senden at (tied-10th) and Adam Scott (tied-19th) are the leading Aussies through three rounds of the Wells Fargo Championship. Rickie Fowler is the outright leader.
