Minjee Lee leads in Mexico

Australia's Minjee Lee has seized the lead in a big LPGA tournament in Mexico through two rounds.

Perth teenager Lee carded a second straight three-under-par 69 on Friday to take a one-stroke lead over four players in the Lorena Ochoa Invitational.

A member of Golf Australia's rookie squad of elite, young professionals, the former Australian amateur champion made a two-putt birdie at the par-five 17th to grab the lead at Club de Golf Mexico.

She is six-under par through two rounds, and in sight of her second LPGA title, after winning the Kingsmill Championship earlier this year.

"There's nothing different I'm going do on the golf course," Lee said after her round. "Still two rounds to go and that's a long way."

Rookie of the year Sei Young Kim, Christina Kim, Angela Stanford and world No. 2 Inbee Park are tied for second, a shot back.

Meanwhile in the United States, first-round joint leader Aaron Baddeley had a disappointing second round in the OHL Classic at Mayatoba to drop out of the top 30. Baddeley followed his briliant opening 65 with a 73.
