Minjee Lee makes hot start in China

Just a fortnight after her Victorian Open win, World Number 1 amateur Minjee Lee has flown out of the blocks to be tied second after the first round of the World Ladies Championship in China. Lee finished with a first round 5-under par 68 to be in second place behind World Number 2 Suzann Pettersen who shot a first round 6-under 67. Starting on the 10th hole, Lee bogeyed the 11th before birdies at the 12th, 13th and 14th holes in succession and another birdie at the 18th had her 4-under through her front nine. Birdies on the 4th, 6th and 7th sandwiched a bogey at the 6th to leave her with her 68.
