Minjee takes on the boys at WA Open

15 year old West Australian and National Squad member Minjee Lee will this week face one of her biggest ever tests as she lines up against the men in the 2011 John Hughes Geely/Nexus Risk Services WA Open. To be played at her home club of Royal Fremantle, the teen prodigy is the only female in the PGA Tour of Australasia field and will be looking to add the State Open title to her already impressive list of results. The youngest ever winner of the WA State Women’s Amateur Championship, Lee is currently the second ranked Australian female junior and seventh in Australian Women’s Amateur rankings. The Methodist Ladies&apos College student will tee off in Thursday s first round amongst an impressive field that includes West Australians Jarrod Moseley, Stephen Leaney and Kim Felton. While the majority of the field contested last week s Brunel Western Australian PGA Championship, there are also some new additions for the Open showdown including West Australian Rick Kulacz, Queenslander Adam Blyth and Victorian Scott Laycock who will be looking for his second Tour win of the season.
