South Korea’s Misun Cho survived a weather delay and a final round charge from Sarah Brown, to claim her third Symetra Tour title at the Challenge at Musket Ridge tournament, Sunday.

Backing up from a brilliant second round 8 under par 64, Cho knew it would be difficult to follow up with a low score and was immediately under pressure from Brown who completed the front nine in 4 under par. Cho could only manage level par and found herself one behind when bad weather forced a suspension of play.

After a 46 minute break, Brown came out firing, notching back to back birdies on 10 & 11to extend her lead to three. A bogey on 12 followed by a double bogey on 13 set her back to level with Cho with five holes to play. Both players parred 14-17 and then left their approach shots short of the 18th green, setting up a chipping shootout. Cho pitched to 7 feet and Brown to 11feet. Brown putted first and missed, and then Cho drained the 7 footer to snatch the win under extreme pressure.

Of the Australians, Jessica Speechley and Kristie Smith both tied for 17th at 2 under par while Julia Boalnd finished at +2 for a T38 result.
