Miyazato leads the way in Phoenix

Ai Miyazato of Japan has leapfrogged South Korea&aposs Jee Young Lee into the lead of the RR Donnelley Founders Cup in Phoenix. Miyazato carded a bogey-free round of five under at the Wildfire Golf Club in Arizona, including three birdies on the back nine to take a four-shot lead with a day to play in the LPGA event. Lee had led Miyazato by a shot before Saturday&aposs third round but could only manage an even-par 72 to slip to a tie for second with world number three Stacy Lewis. Miyazato, who is ranked ninth in the world, started her third round in fine fashion with two birdies in the opening five holes. The 27-year-old then birdied the 12th, 13th and 15th holes to complete her round of 67 and finish the day on 19 under for the tournament. Lewis looked on track to start Sunday&aposs final round alone in second but a double-bogey on the par-four 16th saw her drop to 14 under and she needed a birdie on the final hole to draw level with Lee again. Lee and Lewis are two strokes ahead of a group of four players on 13 under, including American Angela Stanford, who birdied three consecutive holes starting on the 15th, to card a seven-under 65. Stanford sits alongside compatriots Lizette Salas and Gerina Piller, as well as Sweden&aposs Anna Nordqvist, in a tie for fourth, while world number four Inbee Park heads a group of five players on 12 under. Karrie Webb is the best of the Australians at 11 under in a tie for 13th, while Lindsey Wright is at nine under.
