The members of Monash Country Club had just approved a new course masterplan designed by Bob Harrison. Bob Harrison has designed such courses as Ellerston, Moonah at The National, Brookwater, The Grand, The Vintage, and The Glades – all of these in the Top 50 courses plus many more courses nationally and internationally. He is excited about this project because Monash has such exceptional natural beauty that it will capture all golf lovers hearts and minds. Mark Bartrop, the General Manager said ” This is a very exciting phase for this wonderful golf course. Monash is often referred to as the hidden gem of the Northern Beaches. However, the Board and our members understand that we must be progressive and innovative to continue to encourage current members while attracting new members.” The first ground broken was November 5th and has been programmed to continue for 3 years. Most importantly the plan stipulates that members will always be playing 18 holes of quality golf throughout the development phase. Brian Foster, the club s President said “We will be having mid week open golfing days throughout the development period for golfers to come and see what we are doing and to experience the unique qualities of our club.” The Monash Board also understands the economic times, which over the last few years has taken its toll on many people. They also know that playing golf in such relaxing natural surroundings that Monash provides, amongst like minded friendly members, can extend your life expectancy – well it feels like it does. So the Board has relaxed its joining fee costs, just for a short time, in the “Monash Spring Special” offer which is valid to the end of December, 2012.
