NSW State player Troy Moses finished T11 as leading amateur in the Coca-Cola QLD PGA Championship held at City Golf Club Toowoomba from 19-22 February. Ryan Fox from New Zealand won the Championship at 17 under (263).
Troy felt he played ‘too conservatively’ the first two days. He realised he needed to play a lot more aggressively in the last two, and said “I needed to make birdies or I was going to fall behind.”
He ended the tournament with scores of 71-69-65-66 (271), nine-under and equal 11th alongside Steven Jeffress and Scott Arnold from NSW.
Troy said, "I played with some great players this week…another amazing experience!"
ACTs Matthew Millar and QLD’s Cameron Smith finished one shot behind Fox. NSW players who finished in the top ten include Edward Stedman and Alex Hawley.
