Murdaca into final stage European Q School

After finishing 10th at Stage One of European Tour qualifying school in Fleesensee, Germany, in September, South Australian Antonio Murdaca has now made it through to the final stage of qualifying school at Catalunya Resort in Spain next week after an eye catching final round 8-under 64 at Stage two Qualifying.

Murdaca began the final round at the Panoramica resort in Spain, outside the top-18 who would qualify but his flawless final round 64 elevated him up the leaderboard into a share of 11th, to claim an all-important final stage qualifying spot.

"8 under to come 11th and earn a spot into final stage of European tour school, happy and excited for 2 more weeks in Spain!' Murdaca posted on his Facebook page.

266 golfers competed across four courses in Spain during Stage Two qualifying with only 73 progressing to the final.

The final is a six round (108 hole) marathon where all players who tie for 25th place or better shall be eligible for Category *16 membership of the European Tour for the 2016 season.
