ralia's Antonio Murdaca has seized the lead in the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship at Royal Melbourne with a second-round 68.
The 19-year-old from Grange Golf Club in Adelaide, twice Australian junior champion, followed his outstanding opening 69 in the toughest conditions on Thursday with a four-under round today, reaching seven-under par.
Murdaca, a member of Golf Australia's elite amateur squad of players, is one of 10 Australians in the field this week.
He overtook the overnight leader, another Australian in Todd Sinnott, before Victorian Sinnott had even had time to tee off today.
