Janelle Smith, MyGolf co-ordinator at Charlestown Golf Club was the lucky MyGolf deliverer to win the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open experience for running active MyGolf programs during the Christmas holidays and term 1.
The experience included return flights and transfers to Adelaide, accommodation, entry into the Women’s Open and premium hospitality on the Sunday, entry into the Champions Cocktail party and the opportunity to play the Championship Course on Monday.

I just wanted to take the time to say a huge thank you to The MyGolf Team for the trip to Adelaide for the final round of ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open and to play Championship Course at The Grange after the tournament.
I was lucky enough to win the trip for running active MyGolf programs at Charlestown golf club – which was very unexpected! Ryan (my husband) and I have a keen interest in juniors as we were given such amazing opportunities growing up and love being able to give back as much as we can.
We are lucky enough to have a very supporting board and our club is always welcoming to new players and growing the game. We have had some world class players come through Charlestown Golf Club over the years and we continue to provide the new kids coming through with as much knowledge as we can to help them develop. We help the juniors because we love what we do and to get rewarded by the MyGolf Team was a great feeling.
I was able to take my mother on the trip which was really special being able to spend some time together. We were treated to a lovely lunch on the final day of the tournament and spent some time watching the groups make their way up the 18th hole looking on from the clubhouse balcony. After previously playing in a few Australian Opens myself, it was a little surreal watching on and not being involved but less stressful too!
The day after the tournament we spent the afternoon on course at The Grange, playing the Championship Course as it was setup for the final round. This was really a highlight as we were the only people on the whole course and the condition was amazing. We both don’t get to play very often these days and to have a relaxing day out on the course was very special.
We were treated so well by everyone at the course and also the hotel. Thanks again to the MyGolf Team, Golf Australia and everyone who played a part in organising our trip!
