The MyGolf team congratulates North Queenslander Megan Smith as April’s MyGolfer of the Month.
Nine-year old Megan discovered her interest in golf about two years ago, before participating in the MyGolf program. She simply came home from school one day and said she wanted to give golf a go – and it has been onwards and upwards ever since.
Much of Megan’s inspiration came from watching golfing stars on television, especially her favourite golfer, Jordan Spieth. She loves his swing, approach to golf and the way he dominated to win both the Emirates Australian Open and US Masters titles.
Megan is now a passionate member of the Paradise Palms Junior Star MyGolf program in North Queensland where Paradise Palms MyGolf co-ordinator Daniel Gawley is her proud coach.
“Megan shows great sportsmanship, dedication and attention to detail both during the MyGolf sessions and when she is on course,” Gawley said.
“Her maturity and attitude is beyond her years and she cleverly uses it to assist and inspire other juniors around her.”
Megan has fallen in love with golf and is 100 per cent committed to improving her golf skills, always making sure she is the first junior to arrive at each MyGolf session.
“Megan’s skill level has come along in leaps and bounds and I am very proud to be a part of her development throughout this wonderful program,” Gawley said.
Congratulations Megan, your MyGolf co-ordinator is extremely proud of you. Keep up the fantastic work!
