MyGolfer of the Month: September

The MyGolf Team congratulates September MyGolfer of the Month, Harry Vercoe.

Harry’s father and grandfather are both golfers, so it wasn’t unexpected when Harry decided to follow in their footsteps.

Receiving a set of golf clubs at a very young age certainly inspired Harry to give golf a try – and this grew into spending hours of practice balls in the backyard.

Just like his father and grandfather, Harry quickly fell in love with the game and so joined the MyGolf program at Horsham Golf Club in April.

MyGolf co-ordinator Elaine Breuer has been impressed with the level of dedication Harry displays towards learning and improving his golf skills at each MyGolf session.

Harry regularly attends the MyGolf sessions at Horsham and is now a member of Horsham and Dimboola golf clubs. He makes sure that he plays every weekend to improve his skills – sometimes at both clubs.

Harry has also competed in the Stuart Appleby U16 Junior Classic, the Victorian Primary Schools event and club events such as the Dimboola Annual Tournament and Pacific National Sponsors Day in Dimboola.

Not only is Harry intent on improving his golf, but he is a dedicated club member who regularly assists at the Dimboola Golf Club’s working bees.

“Harry is very well mannered and a great role model for our club,” Breuer said.

Congratulations on your achievements and devotion to your club, Harry!

Your MyGolf co-ordinator and the MyGolf Team are very proud of you.
