It&aposs not every day a 12 year old scores a Hole in One, let alone during a round of Club Championships, but that is exactly what Zac O&aposCollins from Thurgoona Country Club Resort did! Playing off a handicap of 26, Zac was playing the Par 3 16th Hole when he achieved what some golfers have been striving for their entire life. The 16th at Thurgoona is a 175 metre hole with a water carry up to the green making this achievement even more remarkable! According to Thurgoona&aposs MYGolf Centre Coordinator, Penny Graeber, Zac&aposs Hole in One was “a great effort on a very difficult hole”. For some people, the excitement of an ace would distract them from the task at hand but Zac was composed enough to take home Runner Up honours in the Junior Championship, finishing behind Matthew Stenson – a 14 year old who is already playing off three! Congratulations to both Zac and Matthew on their efforts!! If you&aposve got a MYGolf story to share, email mygolf@golfaustralia.org.au and we&aposll publish it here!
