Stephanie Na and Jason Scrivener have claimed the 2007 MasterCard Junior Masters at The Vines Resort in Perth. Na shot a superb total of five-under to convincingly claim the girls event ahead of Elissa Orr, Courtney Gay and Cecilia who were even with the card. Although opening with a 75, the National Squad member carded a brilliant second round of 66 to seize control before closing with 70 and 72. Local and Australian representative at the Trans Tasman Cup, Whitney Hillier finished outright fifth at four-over. Scrivener took out the boys event by six strokes from Danny An and Tarquin McManus. The West Australian was always in control after an opening round 65 which set the pace for his overall score of eight-under. The Australian Boys Amateur Champion is about to embark on his first overseas trip representing his country when the Australian team flies to Japan on Friday for the Toyota World Junion Championship.
